Happy Easter, 2013.

Happy Easter to one and all!
I've never quite gotten into the American fascination with the Easter Bunny (separation of church and state, secularism, I get it), it's eggs and rebirth all the way for me baby!
I thought this photograph, which I took for my darkroom class last year, was sufficiently eggie for an Easter post.  I did a whole series of photographs using my neighbour's chickens and some other props; egg cup, rosemary, carving knife etc...it turned out a lot less weirder than it sounds, honest.  Well, I suppose you would've had to have been there!
Eat chocolate!

When I was a child I wondered how bunnies were hatched from chicken eggs. Never have gotten an answer.

Vinogirl, not to break the rule of separation of "Church" and blog, but if you want an Easter song to go with those symbolic eggs, here it is:

Keith Green (Jesus Freak) died with his son in 1982, but was able to make Easter an accessible concept to a generation of young people who were not only aware of hypocrisy in the US government, i.e., Viet Nam war (I'm not trying to be controversial), but in the "Church" as well (Organism vs. organization).
Please feel free to delete!
As for the photograph, I find it appealing and well done; just how cool is photography?

Very cute photo. Im so happy they've now said eggs are the wonderfood instead of being something that will kill you. I've always eaten up to three boiled eggs a day that's a relief...Happy Easter!

Tomasso: The stork brings them, right?

Thud: Simnel cake...how traditional of you.

NHW: Pleasant little ditty, but I just don't get Christian music...more of an AC/DC person myself.

ALW: I don't think the British would have had an empire without starting their day off with a good chuckie egg with toast soldiers :)

Three boiled eggs a day!

Don't tell me: you heard they can keep your weight down. It's true, because after downing three boiled eggs, who wants to eat anything for the rest of the day?

As for the cholesterol-egg thing. I've never believed a word of it. In fact, there was a time in my life when I ate beef liver and eggs for breakfast five days a week. I managed to work it through with the help of a Freudian...
