Ouch! This looks painful doesn't it? Luckily, I did not need this particular shoot for a spur, or cane. Which is just as well because it really didn't look very viable after I'd finished cutting it from around the fruiting wire.
Pruning is going well and I estimate that I may finish the Cabernet Sauvignon tomorrow. Of course, I still have to tie the canes down. Carry on!

Poor you! I only have to take down stone blocks at about 150lb each and then skip about 30 tons of rubble this week....in the pissing down rain, lucky I'm having a slow week!I may save a little for your visit.
Thud: My God man, where's the stiff upper lip? Like I said, carry on!
If it's any consolation, Thud. In the past, I have ruined many pruning blades by encountering such vine wedgies.
It's getting in line with my stiff knee joints and my dodgy elbow.
Tomasso: Sheesh! Don't encourage my brother, he's only dismantling a small sandstone cottage by hand.
Thud: So the stiff upper lip, the stiff knees and dodgy elbow all have to get in line behind that quivering bottom lip of yours?
