Happy 4th!

Happy 4th of July to all!
Enjoy fun, sunshine, friends, family, fireworks, good food, and wine - in no particular order (just copious amounts of each.)
Oh...and God save the Queen!

My thoughts entirely, VG and a very happy 4th to you and yours. I am drinking a delicious Bonarda from the Oltrepo Pavese. Yum yum, pig's bum.

Oltrepo Pavese--now there's a man with a wine heart!

Vinogirl, God did save the Queen--just didn't save the colony ;)

It was a truly hot 4th and it is again on the 5th. We are in the 90s--and the grapes are at least two weeks ahead of "normal."

Ron: Thanks, the family are here from England and a good time was had by all.
Stop torturing me with your wine selections...they all sound delicious and remind me that the choice of Italian wines here is generally pathetic.

Thomas: Ron Combo has great taste in wine, of course he's in a ideal part of the world for vino.
I heard it was 101 in NYC yesterday, with humidity on top of that it must have been ugly. Love California heat because it is so dry.
Grapes are approx. 2 weeks behind here, although I did notice this morning that the Pinot gris berries are starting to enlarge quite a bit.

Hello Vinogirl; Fred here, catching up. Happy 4th July, and happy 7th July too.
It's blinking hot on the Tube, even though the temperature's climbed down the scale a bit. No-one's complaining; the winter was too long and much too cold for anyone to even dare.
Best to you, from W6.

Fred, you're not dead! I was about to ask Mr. Combo if you were still alive and kicking.
Welcome back to Vinsanity, and enjoy the English summer.
