Vinsanity ● n. a deranged state of mind usually occurring when the love of wine drives you crazy…so call me a cab.
My thoughts entirely, VG and a very happy 4th to you and yours. I am drinking a delicious Bonarda from the Oltrepo Pavese. Yum yum, pig's bum.
Oltrepo Pavese--now there's a man with a wine heart!Vinogirl, God did save the Queen--just didn't save the colony ;)It was a truly hot 4th and it is again on the 5th. We are in the 90s--and the grapes are at least two weeks ahead of "normal."
Ron: Thanks, the family are here from England and a good time was had by all.Stop torturing me with your wine selections...they all sound delicious and remind me that the choice of Italian wines here is generally pathetic.Thomas: Ron Combo has great taste in wine, of course he's in a ideal part of the world for vino.I heard it was 101 in NYC yesterday, with humidity on top of that it must have been ugly. Love California heat because it is so dry.Grapes are approx. 2 weeks behind here, although I did notice this morning that the Pinot gris berries are starting to enlarge quite a bit.
Hello Vinogirl; Fred here, catching up. Happy 4th July, and happy 7th July too. It's blinking hot on the Tube, even though the temperature's climbed down the scale a bit. No-one's complaining; the winter was too long and much too cold for anyone to even dare.Best to you, from W6.
Fred, you're not dead! I was about to ask Mr. Combo if you were still alive and kicking.Welcome back to Vinsanity, and enjoy the English summer.
Hope you had a great celebration !
Villager, the family are here from England and we all had a great time.
