Once again, it is time for the denizens of Vinoland to wish you all, pruners and non-pruners alike, a very happy St. Trifon's Day. May the patron saint of pruners bless us all with a bountiful 2011 harvest.
Now, get pruning!

What a stunning pruner you have there in the photo!
My semi auto assault pruners are at ready.
Alas I'm rarely to be found pruning.
'Though I do have a soft spot for St Bernardino, patron saint of compulsive gambling and respiratory problems.

Phlemmy: V2 (border collie/JR mix) is in constant motion. Thankfully, chewing up the cuttings keeps her entertained for, oh about, 30 secs.
Thud: Are you challenging me to a pruning duel?
Cesar: Not even roses?
St Trifon's Day is on the 1st and the 14th Feb here in Bulgaria. I did all my prining last November. Probably a mistake but it's what they do in Turkey. Also the vines hadn't been pruned at all for at least 3 years.
Mad Dog, welcome to Vinsanity. Yes, I know St. Trifon's Day is celebrated on the 1st and the 14th (see this post last year...http://vinsanity-vino.blogspot.com/2010/02/happy-st-trifons-day.html)
As for pruning in November, if you can guarantee that the winter rains will not assist in the infection of your vines with Eutypa lata, go for it!
