School's out!

Tonight was my last night of school. My semester of photography classes is at an end and I can now relax on Monday and Wednesday evenings with Vinomaker and the Vinodogs. I don't know if I will take the advanced level class, starting in January, as I am running out of ideas for photographs. Aside from learning photographic techniques and darkroom protocols, I also learned that to be a good photographer you have to have a vivid imagination - and sadly I'm a little lacking in that department. Ho hum! Never mind, Christmas is enough to keep my small brain occupied for the time being.

I don't have much faith in my brain either!

You take great pictures, Vinogirl,as I think I've mentioned before.

Having lived with a photographer, I would agree to an extent about having a vivid imagination but I would add to that the ability to LOOK properly. So much of what produces a good photograph is being able to see what other people don't see, or to see what stands out. Even if one isn't the most imaginative person in the world, one can still train oneself to be observant. Stick with it if you really enjoy it.

Just dont think about it, just enjoy the process.

WH & Monkey: Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. I'm still not sure about the advanced class...I'll think about it after the first of the year.
