I am thankful for many things; for living in such a pretty part of the world (look at how cute Napa is right now), for my family and good friends, for good health, for great Vinodogs, for good wine...and a husband who makes it :)

hope you have a lovely day and great food and wine. love Monkey and Tenbellies
Hello Vinogirl,
we are going to a Thanksgiving Lunch her in deepest Piedmont on Sunday, thanks to a recent introduction to some fine American citizens. I shall be taking a magnum of good Barbera and some Refosco and a Gavi for starters. I hope your day goes well!
I have enough holidays to deal with but happy thanksgiving anyway.
Monkey: Thanks. Hello to Tenbellies.
Ron: I am sure Piedmont's resident Yanks will be appreciative of your observation of their annual Thanksgiving tradition.
Thud: The more the merrier!
Hope you had a great day, Vinogirl.
I was glad that O'Bama spared that turkey. It's the one I would have chosen; it had come from a very deprived background and needed support.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. Jo Diaz
I am grateful for my wife, and more proud of here than Michelle Obama is of America for the 7th time this year, as she is learning how to make wine herself! When I was on business trips this fall, she supervised two crushes. When I had to work late the other evening and it was pressing time, I came home to find the wine pressed! When the vineyard workers were slacking, she fired them and finished putting on the trellis crossbars herself. There's only one thing left to teach her: racking. (I think I need to have a little talk with your VinoMan husband .) Meantime, I am grateful for VinoQueen (err, my wife). Oh, it just started to rain!!!! ... first real rain since February. Time to go outside and fork the compost and plant the cover crop. (P.S. We are grateful for your winemaking & vineyard advice.)
A Distress Call from the uneducated citizen folk of Blue-Merle Country to SuperVinoGirl and the experts of VinoLand: HELP! (Please.) What is the formula for SO2 additions to wine? In other words, how many grams of potassium metabisulfite to add per gallon of wine to raise it XX PPM? Related questions: For a red wine with pH 3.7, what is the target free SO2 level before bottling (assuming I'd like to drink that wine 4 years from now). We have several high pH wines this year... with pH's of 4.1 and 4.2 What is the target SO2 level in the barrel for these wines. Ever thankful, Bluey & Friend.
Villager: It was very enjoyable as it was shared with my English family.
Affer: I think socialism applies to turkeys also...doesn't it?
JD: Thanks...ditto.
Craig: Good grateful list...always keep your Wine Queen happy!
Craig again: I will get Vinomaker on the case.
