Oops! It seems we had an issue with several trees, erm, falling over today in Vinoland. It is somehow hard for trees to remain vertical around here!I think I'll plant some Pinot gris in their place.

Felling trees is sooooo satisfying - better than weeding by far. I once felled a huge sycamore on to my (then) ma-in-law. Fortunately, the damage was relatively little. To the tree, that is.
Do all your trees live or die on the San Andreas fault?
Weston: considered Viognier, I love it, but a difficult varietal to grow.
Affer: falling trees and a mother-in-law, sounds like a Tommy Cooper joke!
