Courgette, or zucchini?

This years grapes are coming along splendidly. I'm thinking 2009 is going to be a great vintage.
We only have one more sulphur application to make for the season, so things are calming down in the vineyard right now. Time to turn my attention to veggies.
My courgettes are doing fab and I'm looking forward to my first harvest in a matter of days. I planted less plants this year than I normally would as they are such prolific producers...I cannot eat enough courgette incorporated food items to keep up with them when they really hit their stride!

It must be really satisfying growing your own veg. (and the grapes of course).

It is, although I don't grow a huge amount...but the courgettes, plum tomatoes and basil that I grow make a great pasta dish with lots of garlic and olive oil...that is a very satifying feeling...especially with a good glass of wine:)

Not this year I'm afraid...not after V2 killed all my cantaloupes last year!

V2 eh? One of those demolished our chip shop. Didn't know they were firing them off at California....

Yes Affer...small, black & white and deadly...to fruits and vegetables anyway...probably to a good battered haddock fillet too!

Well Vinogirl, here in my part of Italy the courgette flowers are just outrageously luxuriant this year but the courgettes themselves are, er, a poor show. I blame Gordon Brown.
