Worth the doe?

Without getting into a discussion about the placement of the apostrophe in Stags' Leap, versus Stag's Leap, I'm posting about a fabulous 2010 Viognier from Stags' Leap Winery, formerly owned by Carl Doumani who is known for having had a bit of a punctuation disagreement with Wayne Winiarski (of the 1976 Judgement of Paris tasting fame), who formerly owned Stag's Leap Wine Cellars (now owned by Tuscan producer Piero Antinori). Okay, I think I just gave myself a headache.
I don't particularly care who owns the winery now, or indeed where whoever decides to put their particular apostrophe (although the California Supreme Court may care), I just love this wine. Redolent with the usual Viognier stone-fruity suspects and a big, blossomy nose, it is the ultra bright acidity in this Viognier that makes it a real winner. The finish just goes on and on. The wine retails for about $25 and it is well worth it. A fitting libation for California Wine Month.

I like the bright acidity of vinegar on my chips, sarsons is way cheaper than $25.

$25 makes it quite deer, doesn't it?

Thud: I actually credit Sarson's with my preference for elevated acidity in wine...well, Sarson's and Smith's Salt & Vinegar crisps.

Affer: Hmmm...let me ruminate on that comment...yup, 25 bucks is quite a lot of money!

Worthy of Tommy Cooper.

Vinogirl, you've instigated me to go back into your blog, something I shouldn't be doing when I need to get to work, but I've become quite fascinated having become more familiar with your more recent posts.
I still believe you have a real potential for a book!
This wine at $30 sounds like a bargain to me; it is one I've never seen, but would grab.
As for some of the pictures I've seen surfing down into 'history', I see outstanding ones that should be framed.
Oh, back in the 70s I use to judge photo contests and was a high STAR rate photographer with international ranking, but fell-out of my love when I went through years-long depression (TMI).
If this 'mining' of your blog with some posts is OK, I'll continue to comment?
