Happy Easter everyone!
Vinodog 2 wasn't quite sure about donning her new bunny ears this morning, perhaps the brown colour was a little too realistic. Nevertheless, here she is being all festive, well, sort of.  I think she looks a little humiliated.  Or maybe she is just disappointed - disappointed that she didn't get to have coffee and Cadbury's Creme Eggs for breakfast.

Eggs for breakfast!  Yup, got up this morning and the first thing I did was stuff a Cadbury Creme Egg into my mouth.  Then it started to rain, so I ate another two.  Lent seemed awfully long this year.

V2 is all ears today, as she heard there are a lot of Cadbury Creme Eggs knocking about Vinoland.  V2 is a quick little dog, but not quick enough to get between me and my Creme Eggs.

Steady mercury.

Well, the mercury had been fairly steady in the high 30s °F all autumn, until this morning when it took a nose-dive and reached 22° F.  And that was recorded on the thermometer that is protected below Vinoland's deck: the lowest temperature recorded in Napa was 19° F, and that's quite chilly for here.
Brrr!  Forget the wine, pass me the Cadbury Drinking Chocolate.

First Bubbly of 2013.

I'm having a bit of a slow beginning to 2013 (except for work, housework, cooking etc., that never slows down), so forgive my lack of posts.  Haven't been out in the vineyard and I've barely drank any wine.  And the only bubbly I have had so far this year was a bar of Cadbury's Bubbly which arrived in a care-package, just before Christmas, from Blighty.  Notice I wrote was:  like 2012 it's history.  Very nice it was.
