Good moon rising.
It only happens a couple of times a year, but tonight was one of those times. At 5 pm when I left the winery and headed south towards home, the sun was setting over the western hills of the Napa Valley to my right, (and the Pacific Ocean beyond), and the full Beaver moon was rising over the eastern hills to my left. It's a little distracting as you drive along, admiring the glowing sunset and the silvery moonrise at the same time, but ultimately, it's awe inspiring.

To think that you have the nerve to complain about your commute!...I just get to see the sun setting on gangs of marauding somalis as I drive through toxteth!
Vinogirl; what a shot. We get spectacular London sunsets, and the rising of a harvest moon was a particular treat, but never at the same time. Lucky you!
We have low, low dense cloud, everything dripping wet even 'though it's not raining. Lucky you indeed. it's enough to drive one to drink. Er, what was that you said nurse?
It is a nice commute Thud, I know.
A stunning occurence Fred, I wish everyone could enjoy it.
Ron, 84F today...it's almost criminal!
That Toxteth spectacle you mentioned Thud is neither a Harvest Moon or a Blue Moon(2 full ones in a calender month)...its what you would call 'Purple Haze', cos lets face it they are all probably stoned on skunk as well!!!
