Happy St. Valentine's Day: 2017.

Vinodog 2 is a very happy little dog: she greets every new day with a vigorous way of her tail. This morning was no different, except that me and my pooch had a quick smooch before our daily routine commenced.
I beseech you all to kiss a dog today.  (A cat, a hamster, perhaps a chicken...whichever is closest at hand.  You'll be glad you did.)
Happy St. Valentine's Day to you all!

Happy St. Valentine's Day: 2016.

There haven't been many posts on Vinsanity of late.  Why?  Well, I have been busy being busy and being sick.  But the primary reason is that I have been suffering from being short on inspiration.
Pruning is coming along slow but sure.  This Pinot grigio tendril wanted to wish everyone a wonderful St. Valentine's Day - it was being romantic.
Happy St. Valentine's Day to you all.

Happy St. Valentine's Day: 2015.

I tried to make a heart out of some of the old wood that I am pruning off the grapevines, but it was a disaster.  I had to use this one I'd bought instead.  I'm not very crafty.
Love dogs!  Love wine!  Love life!
Happy St. Valentine's Day to you all.

Happy St. Valentine's Day: 2014.

From amidst the misty-morning shrouded, unpruned vines of Vinoland a simple mercury glass heart wishes friendly tidings to all who visit here, or simply pass by.
Happy St. Valentine's Day to you all.

Happy St. Valentine's Day: 2013.

The gate of a local vineyard is bedecked with a simple heart shape, formed from a retired barrel-hoop, all year round.
Happy St. Valentine's Day to you all.

Happy St. Valentine's Day!

Nothing says I love you like a heart-shaped pepperoni pizza and a cheap bottle of Chianti. We know how to celebrate in Vinoland.
A very happy day to you all!

Happy Valentine's Day.

Those fun, festive folks at Rudd are at it again. A large, lighted arrow-pierced heart sits at the corner of their vineyard, on the Oakville Crossroad, for all passers-by to enjoy. I don't really get Valentine's Day, but I do however recognise that a minimal amount of celebratory effort by a few, can bring delight and smiles to the many who do.
It actually worked for me this year, so a very happy day to you all.
