VE Day.

I very well may be a certified vine-nerd, but I don't think I'll ever be a fully fledged photography-geek. I did however enjoy taking pictures of Liverpool on my recent holiday.
Raise a glass of bubbly, preferably Pol Roger, and toast the countless men and women who sacrificed their lives for us.
Remember, freedom isn't free.
St. Luke's, Liverpool. Bombed 5th May 1941.

VE Day seems to be slowly slipping from public consciousness.

I was in Bath on Saturday - a fine, beautiful city owing much to its Roman origins and the later, elegant Georgian expansion. Many other cities in the UK might be as beautiful but for remodelling courtesy of well-known developers, Hitler,Goering and Associates Gmbh.

That would be sad!
Liverpool lost a lot of buildings, but it's still the prettiest city to me...Germans, or no Germans.

Great photo and sentiments. I am slowly getting more obssessed with photography and love to see how people come at it. Must say sad to hear VE Day is going out of consciouness. In fact in New Zealand it's had a huge revivial and young kids are really coming out for it.
