Happy St. George's Day, 2014.

"There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word, which means more to me than any other.  That word is England."  Sir Winston Curchill.
Happy St. George's Day to my family, friends and anyone who loves England as much as I do.

Ah, St. George: the Greek (or was he?) with one of the most confused histories and legends to support sainthood.

Thud: Practising for the World Cup?

NHW: You'd have to have a youthful visage to paint a Union Jack on your face...older folk could not pull that look off.

Tomasso: In true allegorical tradition, I can't think of a better saint to venerate than one who is known as a dragon slayer :)

Me neither, unless the saint managed to resurrect a dragon...

Cheers to St George and God bless the fallen Dragon.

Tomasso: I'm sure he did, thus guaranteeing his sainthood.

Trubes: Yay for St. George!
