Happy St. George's Day, 2010.

I traveled among unknown men,
In lands beyond the sea;
Nor England! did I know till then
What love I bore to thee.
~
Happy St. George's Day to my family, friends, and anyone who loves England as much as I do.

Yes, here's to England....not a bad country, apart from the weather...

Happy St.G's day to you too.Do you think there's any possibility old Wordsworth may have been a stowaway on the Bounty with his old mate Mr Christian?

Villager: Yes, but at least all the sunny parts of Europe are just a fairly short flight away.

Lord Roby: Y'know, may be so. Rum, bum, and concertina...and all that.

Jamie: Yes it does!!! (Welcome to Vinsanity by the way.)

It is, of course, "sn George" when you say it aloud...cheeky "sn George" for the doubting Thomas'.

My first real trip abroad was to England when I was 13. My parents had just split up and my mother took me and my younger brother to London and to Edinburgh. Playing soccer, um football, in Hyde Park with kids I met and hearing the Sex Pistols for the first time... I'll never forget. I try to get back to London every chance I get, probably my favorite city on earth. Here's to England...
